Henna is not a traditional dye/color process, so it doesn't roughen the cuticle. In fact, henna acts as a coating that seals the cuticles, so doing the BKT one day later was not a good idea. If you wait 7-10 days, you'll see much better results.I did henna the day before bkt if I'm not mistaken last year. I had read that a color process could rough your cuticles up so that the bkt would take better. Didn't work in my case. I am now of the belief that if your hair was resistant to relaxers, it will be resistant to bkt as well---at least that seemed to be my case...
