Yesterday I took down my braids. I did a pre-poo treatment of EVOO, honey and con. This morning I washed and dep con for 3 hours. I blowdried my hair. It was really think. It could have been the MTG I have been using. Anyway the problem was when I went to flat iron my hair with my ceramic irons. I came to a spot when my hair broke at the demarcation point:eek: . It about a 1/4 of my hair on the side. I did this routine to see if I my hair would turn out right after I did this process for my graduation.

What should I do? I was thinking about giving myself a touch-up. My last touch-up was Dec 31. I regularly use Motions but I was thinking of using Affirm. Or should I try to wait it out  I really dont know what to do or how this happened

Please Ladies offer your advice. I am open to anything. :notworthy

Did you notice that bald spot when you were taking down your braids?? Did you blowdry you hair with a comb attatchment? Or even from being completely wet? Were your braids too tight?

Personally, it sounds like your hair was/is very weak from the braids. Then when you went to blowdry it, it came right out. I would def. stay away from that blowdryer for a while. Try Increasing your intake of protein treatments to about once every 2 weeks. Sound slike you hair is very weak. And if you think it is the MTG please STOP using it NOW.

Oh, and wait out relaxing until you knwo what is the culprit. This sounds serious.

Don't get a touch-up.

I think the breakage came from using all those products in your hair and then blowdrying it and then following up with a flat iron. That's too much. Leave your hair alone.

ITA! Too much

That's what I was thinking, your hair sounds like it may have been over conditioned (too soft/weak) btwn the braids and the pre-poo plus the 3hr. DC, you need some strength somewhere in there.

Have your tried a protien treatment?

I also took my braids out yesterday. I agree with Cherokee and BWE, you perhaps should have done a protein treatment, then followed with a deep conditioned with moisture (I used Humectress and coconut oil). I did a search on and got some good info before I got started.

I did not notice this while taking our my braids. They were not tight at all. Yes I did use the wide tooth comp attachment to blow-dry my hair. I stop using the MTG a week ago. Thank you Mizani

Thanks blac. I will do a protein treatment. I thought I would deep condition first then do a protein treatment. I guess I was wrong. Thanks again...
