Okay ladies, I've gone several months without a touch up, been on the Bargello Plan for several months and been wearing my hair in a protective style (setting hair using goody's twist rollers to achieve loose spirals and air drying), but how can I check to see how much hair growth I've had? I really don't want to use heat to straighten my hair out, but I'm curious, plus I need a trim. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How about just stretching a few strands and measuring? This will work if your previous measurements were scalp to ends. That's how naturals measure their lengths, scalp to ends...by stretching the hair. If you previously measured hairline to ends, I guess you can stretch the hair at the back of your head...or the hair that stretches farthest back and measure from hairline to the tip of that hair. Comparing today's measurement to the previous one will tell you how much growth you have.
