Hello ladies,
I recently subscribed to this forum because I'm really ready to take care of my hair. I usually wear weaves 9 months out of the year but I want to wear my own hair more often. My question is...what advice would you give for a thinning hairline? The hair loss around my edges is not associated with my weaves or braids or anything like that and I also haven't had a relaxer since 2008. I went to a doctor years ago and they never said it was alopecia although that's what I suspected. My hairstyles are so limiting because of this and I'm hoping that I can make it better.

Any advice on products that I can use? Thanks!

Scalp massaging

Styles that are gentle and do not cause excess pulling / tugging / manipulating that area

Jbco is fantastic-- check out some old jbco challenges. You will see some great progress. I even participated in a few and think jbco works fantastic.

I used a consistent regimen of moisturizer twice a day and then seal with a light oil twice a day. Use a no tension regimen. No pulling on the area.

That's what helped my edges.

My pics are in my fotki from when my edges were darn near bald.

Hairline Essential Cream by Verifen Complex works fine. Be sure to put on a silk head band after applying each night.

I heard Edge Control by Organic Root Stimulator (ORS) is good.

get the _____ to make you a special formula in the guise of ____. It works.

other than than, try to keep the tension off of it as much as possible, and when you see small improvements, try not to bother the hair too much even though it is improving.

it is still fragile, despite the small buds.

JBCO works!!!!! I have been using on my dd for about a year. I always wondered why when I would cornrow her hair, she always had a "halo" of hair the very next day. I wrap her hair every night with a satin scarf and she sleeps in a satin pillowcase just in case the scarf came off in the night. Well, I took her mini braids down yesterday after a little over a month of cowashing, moisturizing and sealing with JBCO and massaging the JBCO through her scalp. It just clicked, the halo is NEW HAIR from the JBCO, not broken hair. Trust me, when I washed her hair loose last night (well in about 8 twists) and went to detangle, I promise her hair is like twice as thick.

Just thought I would share my testimony on JBCO. I am gonna start using on my super fine nape.
