Hi lovelies,

I need a little help figuring out what size roller to use on my hair. My hair is 4a, fairly dense, with a mixture of diameters and is smooth in some places and coarse in others. It varies in length from about 5 inches to 8 1/2 inches.

I've tried roller setting before with decent results. The sets I did were with the pink magnetic rollers, with a little green here and there. It gave me a fairly tight curl. I'm trying to do a set that gives me a very loose curl--more "pulling the hair straight without using heat" than curl.

Can anyone help me figure out what size would be good for this? I was thinking about the orange snap-on magnetics, which are 1 1/2 inches in diameter. And it has to be the snap-on kind--I have a really hard time with the pins, etc.

Thanks for reading. :)

You might do better with 1.5 inch diameter roller or 1 3/4 inch (purple) which is what I use.
