Help With Post Prepgnancy Damage. Wwyd?

About four months after having my son last year, my hair took a turn for the worse. My edges just completely fell out. Like baby bottom bald. Other places just broke off. It is a mess.

I'm contemplating cutting about 4-5 inches off. It will push me back to somewhere between APL and BSL.

OR I can just slowly cut back (just cut two inches off on May 1st).

OR I can big chop and start over as a natural.

WWYD?

Cutting will give the illusion of fuller hair, but I suggest you just wait it out. By the time your baby turns 1 your hair will be back to normal.

You can take garlic pills or use Alter Ego conditioner in the meantime. Castor oil massages will help a lot too.

Your hair looks great. A lot of times we tend to be more critical of our hair than others and the problems we see others don't even notice. I would trim 1/2 inch to 1 inch and baby it.

I've noticed my edges are falling out more than any other spot. I am going on four months postpartum. bunning is my go to style, but my balding edges that's a no no now.
I may keep it heat trained, and twist outs to cover up until my edges looks reasonable.
Castor oil feels nice, but don't help completely. Guess this is something that naturally over time heals itself. Your hair looks good. But I feel your pain.
I feel bald but people be like, girl please

The same thing happened to me after my son. Plus I was busy I didn't take care of it like I needed to. Fast forward to another baby and now I'm finally taking the time to get it straight. I just cut a little every time I wash.

my edges disappeared also. Bald as a babies butt. I freaked. What can you do but give it time for your hormones to get back to normal,

I hated headbands... It's like all skin then headband.
