Hey ladies!
I plan on putting in box braids by myself but im having a hard time figuring out how to cut the hair to get the right length. Before I would cut the jumbo braids hair in half but that gave me mid back length hair. i want it to be a little longer than shoulder length like this

how will i have to cut the braids to get that length? In three?

When I cut my hair in half I get that length. How many inches are you buying? I believe (and I'm not too sure) that I get 16 and cut it in half.

cut in half, then stretch to desired length.

Just cut it in half and braid it, then after braiding if it's still too long then cut to the desired length.

I went and checked and my jumbo braid from end to end and it was 60 inches. To do the braids i had last time i cut it in half (30) and pulled the ends which then made much longer than 30 and then braided. no wonder it was waist length on me. So i decided this set im going to half it (30) half it again (15) Half it again (7.5) and pull the ends to get my desired length.
