Hello I've been watching the site for a while and I think its great! But... My hair is serious coming out. I just took my braids out and it is worst.I mean any time I pull my hair, it ends up in my hand.

I had a little spot in the middle of my hair for the last 7 years wouldn't grow much , even when I went natural for year. Now this spot in the middle is as big as my hand!

Seen a dermo doctor a while back and she say it was just breakage. I wash and condition a least twice a week. I do wear wigs .

Any suggestions?

Hi! Welcome to the Board!

How often do you moisturize your hair? Have you been deep conditioning after you shampoo? When was your last protein treatment?

Based on your picture you look like you are natural (hopefully some of the natural ladies will chime in), but you may need more moisture.

You said your hair is breaking, you could start with a light protein to see if that helps, if not you may need one of the stronger proteins. You also need moisture to keep everything balanced. I think the key would be to baby that area of your head as much as possible. Deep condition, take vitamins, scalp massage, castor oil, etc. Give that area of your hair extra attention and hopefully it will begin to turn around.

Some moisturizers are:
ORS carrot oil cream
ORS olive oil cream
Neutrogena Triple Moisture creamy leave-in (NTM)
You can apply one of these to your hair and seal with oil to keep the moisture in your hair.

Light proteins:
Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor
Nexxus Keraphix

Heavy protein:
Aphogee treatment for damaged hair
Nexxus Emergencee

I hope this helps. :) Again, welcome.

Welcome to LHCF!!! :)
You said you put your hair in braids. When you take your hair out of them add a little leave-in conditioner to the bulb at the bottom to release the hair. Always finger comb when taking your hair out of braids and take your time. Once you are sure your hair is detangled run a styling comb thru it once.
Also the baggie method has done wonders for women in this forum including me. As said, you need moisture. You need to find the right balance for your hair. Take your time, you patch will grow back.
