 I am new here and even it looks easy I am ovewhelmed with all this information. I would like to get some advice for thin-fragile relaxed hair, I have a lot of breakage and my hair is normal (not dry)

How often should I and for how long?
Clarifying (how many time x month) best product to buy
Protein (how many times x month) best product to buy
Deep conditioning
hair oil (what kind)
moisturizer (What is it? when can I use it without wetting my hair)

I am very confussed and need your help. Thanks, in advanced:)

Welcome! I just pm'ed you an excerpt from my hair journal. I'm lazy today but I'm sure that you will find it helpful. Other ladies will chime in as well.

All of these questions depend on your hair. What works for me may not work for you. The most helpful information I found when first coming to the site is Don't Speak Defeat's Guide for Newcomers. It should be the first one listed under "Looking for your favorite sticky".
But I can tell you that a moisturizer is a water based product (water is the first ingredient) and my favorite is Cathy Howse Dew. HTH :)

Hi Laflaca. I am a new member too. My hair is dry 4b, short but thick, fragile and relaxed. My damage/breakage is not bad anymore.
If you are asking for the best products you are going to get so many options because different people hair (even a matching hair type) like different things.

I deep condition my hair weekly with a protein conditioner {Mane 'n Tail} and then a moisturizing conditioner {Mane 'n Tail}.
I also do co-washes during the week. I use Suave Milk and Honey and VO5 Moisture milks and VO5 silky experiences.
I clarify every two months. Some do it monthly.
My favorite oil is WGHO, but I have used Surge and jojoba/olive and liked them.
I apply my moisturizer (Mane 'n Tail leave-in) to my damp hair and seal it in with WGHO or castor oil grease/coconut oil grease or aloe vera gel.
I do relax but am currently stretching for 3 months, but my leave in moisturizers are really helping with (new) growth. I also sleep with satin or silk scarf every single night.

It might also help you to look at the hair twin/buddy thread and try to find yours. I was late but I still found mine and sent her a pm and I am glad I did, because she helped me to see that I was on the right track, and she gave me ideas on how to improve or adjust my hair regimen even more.

Hope This Helps:)

You have to learn what works for you.
but i'll tell u what had make my relaxed, thick hair, thin fine strands do a turn around.

I always thought motions what low end crap (don't know why--just did:look: ) but i finally took some of the ladies advice w/ beautiful hair similar to mine (relaxed, fragil) from here and tried it.

Clarify--Moitions Neutralizing Shampoo
Shampoo---Motions Lavish Conditioning shampoo
Moisturizing cond.---Motions Moisture Plus or Nexxus Humectress(luv both for DC and pre-pooing)
Protein conditioner--Motions CPR Protien Treatment (in a jar)
Hair oil--coconut oil, jojoba oil
Hard core protein---Nexxus Emergency
Moisturizer--ORS (organic root stimulartor) Olive Oil Cream (jar) use it whenever u want--and don't forget ur ends!

These products are not expensive (nexxus is a bit pricey) and work well
