How white do the suds need to be for a color coded neutralizer? I've been at this for about an hour and I see a tiny bit of pink on the white suds. They're generally white but I want to be sure.

This is an isoplus neutralizer.

Most ladies on here would probably advise applying the neutralizing shampoo, then allowing it to sit for about 5 minutes to thoroughly neutralize. On your next lather, try leaving it in for a few to let it work its magic :)

Thanks! Let it sit and it was finally all white. Whew!

Last relaxer was the first time I let the neutralizer sit for 5 minutes. It made all the difference! I use to wash and wash and wash, now I know better!

Isoplus Neutralizing shampoo is one of the worst ones out there (speaking from experience). It takes forever for the suds to turn white and then it strips the hair. Please make sure you DC for a longer than usual time.

You could also shampoo once after relaxing, do an ACV, vinegar, or lemon juice rinse (acidity should help neutralize relaxer) then rinse that out and re neutralize and let that sit to check its all out. Then deeeeeep condition!

Yeah. That Isoplus stuff is pretty bad. I use it in conjunction with the Phormula 7 for the color coding.

I don't know if you do the step where you use a protein conditioner for a few minutes after you rinse out the relaxer (before using the neutralizing poo). Some people do some don't. I do use this step. The conditioner will start to bring the PH of your hair back to normal. I usually apply a protein condish and leave it on for 5 minutes. I follow this with an ACV rinse, which I allow to sit on my hair for another five minutes. The ACV also helps to neutralize. Then I follow with the neutralizing poo. I shampoo once and rinse, then shampoo one more time, this time leaving the poo on for 5 minutes before rinsing. I learned the ACV tip here on the board and since I started doing it, I only ever suds up with the neut poo twice.

french perm stabilizer plus has a ph of 2.5

* Ideal lotion after relaxing to achieve normal acid-balance
* Gives hair a superior feel
* Gives greater combing ease
* Clings to your hair to minimize runoff
* Foaming action carries conditioners right into the cuticle
* Non-oily

All-purpose after-rinse to stabilize hair's acidity level. Returns hair to it's natural pH level after relaxing, perming or other chemical service. Absorbs deep into the cuticle for the most effective results. Hair doesn't feel oily and makes combing and styling easier and less damaging to the hair.

thanks for sharing this. I will try this when I self relax at the end of my stretch.

Oh no... if only I knew Isoplus wasn't the best, I wouldn't have bought it. :-(

I'm pretty sure I got all the relaxer out, I did a lil acv rinse and everything. I did end up DC'ing and baggying all night.

Oh gosh, I'm going to buy the French Perm Stabilizer asap. :-\

I learned that Isoplus is wack last weekend. I always used it and had to lather multiple times. Last weekend I used it but afterwars kept smelling relaxer in my dried hair.
So when I came home I rewashed with QP neutralizing shampoo, didnt even have to let it sit too long, rinsed and VOILA - no more relaxer smell.
