HELP! NAC Users..funny smell?

Do your NAC pills smell? I've had them for a little over two months, usually taking just one a day..I don't think they've expired. What could it be? I can't even really describe the smell, all of a sudden the bottle really stinks. Normal? Or throw em out?

Were they like that when you first got em? Mine are from Nutricology. I don't even recall ever smelling them or noticing a strange smell before. I was taking my nightly vits and I had taken a Flax, Borage, Fish oil pill for the first time and I grab the NAC pill and smell just grabs my face. At first I thought the Flax, Borage, Fish oil pill bursted on the inside and it was coming out of my mouth..but then I put the NAC bottle to my face and there it was..I can't imagine why it would develop a smell but I just don't recall ever smelling it before so I didn't know what to do. Right now it's in the trash. Honestly though, I could probably live without it.

Ok, thanks! Well it's still at the top of my trash perhaps I'll pull it out then. The date on it says 8/08 so it should be alright. I just bought 1000mcg Vitamin C pills as well to get it to work as it should, I know I probably won't be seeing the results of these Vits yet since it's only been 2 months and a week or so, so I really wanted to at least use up every pill in all the ones I've purchased, give em all a fair shot at showing some results.

Wow so you've been on it a while or at least taking the proper dosage, can you attribute any progress directly to it?

I wish I had the patience to try one at a time for a period of time and see what works but I don't want to miss out on what does so I just take em all, which probably ends up working together anyway but if there was any one I though I wouldn't purchase again it be NAC.

Yes, it does have a sulfur-like smell. I was taking NAC but had to stop because of the weight gain. I would love to continue using it but I don't want the extra weight. NAC has amino acids and is great for body builders and people who want to add muscle. But I already workout a lot and lift weights, but I was also putting on too much weight and getting to bulky.

That's probably it, but it was like HOT sulfur, which smells very very bad. I'll be picking it out the trash when I get home though. I haven't really noticed excessive weight gain, it's been pretty steady, but I could also use a few pounds here and there. I'm also joining a gym soon so it's all good.

Excellent! I'll continue using it till the end of this year with the rest of my vits, I'm feeling like I'll be super satisfied with vitamin usage so it may continue after the year, even if I have met my goals.
