Help My hair was stuck to my head this morning

I mixed a little jbco with shikaikai oil and put on my hair last night and put on a plastic cap and then a satin cap and when I woke up this morning my hair was wet and stuck to my head. I was trying to use the baggy method to try to save my ends since when I stretched for 4 months my stylist cut about 1.5 inches of split ends. Does anyone have alternatives or any suggestions?

for the baggy method (specifically to focus on the ends) you would just moisturize, seal and put a sandwich bag on your ponytail. not plastic over the whole head, because you will wake up with wet hair.
