HELP!! MY HAIR HAS A DISEASE, TRICHORREXIS NODOSA!!!

What am I doing wrong to get this, it is whats causing my hexagon looking ends. I guess my hair is exploding in places. How do i fix it and what did I do! I dont want to cut off my length! /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Do you have highlights? You have a very nice length and the hair looks thick, can't really tell anything about your ends from the pics.

Sometimes highlights cause breakage.

No I dont have highlights, I havent had any for about 10 years now. What I did have are all gone from cutting and trims. I'll read the link you gave me and see what they have to say. Thanks

I guess it just basically saying to keep moisturizing. Which I call myself doing day and night. Maybe i am using the wrong kind. Right now I am in between using B&B castor oil and mango butter.

How do you know you have this? Did you see a dermatologist?
If they diagnosed it they should be able to tell you how to treat it.

It was a link someone had posted under Re: Split Ends. It had shown a picture of my issue and the what its called. They didnt really explain how to fix it. I did a search on it and couldnt find anything about prevention.
