I dont know what I want to do with my hair. :perplexed . I started at LHCF early Feb and havent gotten a touchup since Jan 4. I NEED to do something with my hair.

Should I relax it? I'm kind of afraid to bc the damage it did to my hair but I'm wiser now. Unfortunately, not wise enough. I want straight hair but i still can't tell wehn its over processed. Also, I need help picking out a perm. I used to use Optimum (purple box) but it RAVAGED my scalp. I had a little bald spot.. :look: So if anyone knows a good salon to get a perm (or even a Dom Blowout (for cheap)) in the Albany, NY or NAssau, queens, long island area, get at me.

Should texturize it.. I have 4 a/b hair around my edges, my hair is pretty straight and i have TIGHT tendrils in some spots but not others. So I dont know what a HOT mess I would look like because i dont have curl definition throughout

Or should i just transition?.. this is really not an option ... but i dont want to rule anything out.

O yea, I'm a business major (READ: i must look neat and VERY polished). and my friend told me since I'm about to graduate and looking for internships perhaps I should wait to go natural after i get that first job. The way i look now (i really need to get it together), i dont comb my hair unless i wash it so i look crazy sometimes (IM STILL LEARNING, dont make fun).. suggestions??

please?

What is your ULTIMATE goal???

I can relate about looking neat and very polished. That doesn't mean you can't transition to natural. I'm an accounting/MBA major and I've done 2 internships so far. I was a transitioner during both internships I did! Yes, I've been to work when my hair didn't look so great (if I did a braidout or ponytail). My hair looked best when I would wear a bun with a phony pony over it or if I blowdried my hair straight.

Don't relax your hair for the wrong reasons. But if you want straight hair and like straight hair the most, relax your hair. Don't relax simply because of a certain image for the business world.

Hope that helps some.

ITA with what Pooh said, if your ultimate goal is to transition to natural then why prolong it. I know many women in the business world with natural hair.
