My grandmother used to crack a coconut or two, boil cinnamun sticks in the milk add olive oil and an egg beat the mixture with a whisk and vwala. The perfect conditioner.Well I keep trying this and while it makes our hair super soft im still missing some stuff.Had I known how important this stuff was i woulda took a pen and pad to the mandatory weekly rollersets. My mom cant figure out whats missing either. My grandmothers concotion was much thicker almost like a perm .Mine is runny. And mine smells heavenly but not like hers. sooooooo......Has any body with west indian heritage have a grandparent that made a concotion close to this one.If so where am I going wrong?

My mummy and grammy used to boil the coconut milk until it made oil, maybe there is a half way point somewhere. I will ask her because I found out that she knows all kinds of good recipies and does not pass them down.:ohwell:

don't forget to ask, we're waiting.

I'm not enough of a kitchen chemist to know what you're missing, but it seems like you're missing some product that can be used a thickener--not flour (obviously) but maybe like banana or avocado.
