HELP! Is #1 hair too dark for braids?

So I got some HH for braiding today, didn't double-check the label, & was halfway through the pack before I realized that it may be too dark.

The hair is #1, the last time I did individuals I wore #2 which matched my natural hair color. Right now I only have the front done, you can see the difference btwn my hair & the braid hair only when you look closely. I'm more worried that #1 will just look too dark against my skin tone.

Attached is a pic - give me your honest opinion ladies. If I have to, I will have to take down my braids & do something with my natural hair so that I can go to work on Monday & then retry these braids next week. Or I can finish them tomorrow if the #1 hair looks ok.

So should I keep going or take them down? Help!!!

I just had a similar situation except my hair is closer to #3 but the store only had enough #2. I think one level down is okay. Your braids look fine.

Looks fine to me as well. Add a bit of make up and a hair fluff and you're out the door.

I don't think it looks too dark. If you didn't say anything, I would have thought it was your natural hair color.

Are you forgetting that there are people with fairer skin than you that have jet black hair? You betta sit down 'fore you hurt yourself

That hair looks fine. The only thing is it may take you a while to get used to it, but trust me no one else will even know you made a mistake.
