Okay, don't yell at me but I tried that new Loreal Color Expert.

Let's just say, an expert I am not! I used Chocolate Mousse, which looks pretty on the box but on me looks like my head is on fire!

Okay girls, what can I do. A brown henna rinse? Live with it? Any suggestions?

THX!

I think the only thing you can do now is wait until it grows out. You don't want to run the risk of damage by putting color on top of color.

You can use a rinse until it grows out, but I wouldn't suggest using henna ANYTHING!!! Henna and dye don't mix at all.

Try one of the Sebastian cellophanes to tone it down. :)

If your hair is orange, I don't think you left the color on long enough. I wouldn't suggest coloring again. Try to use a deposit only type color. Be very careful of the base color though, you can end up with green hair! If you call the 800 number on the box they can be very helpful. If all else fails, go to a color specialist. They should be able to correct it.

Thanks girls! I think I'll have to find a pro... And wear a hat!

Also, a girlfriend suggested straightening it to see what i looks like too... I let you know if it looks any better but a think it's time to call a pro LOL!

put a dark brown rinse over will tone down red color like clairol beautiful browns they contain no peroxide or ammonia hth

Okay. I know I should know this but how do the cellophanes work? Are they a permanent color? What are they exactly?

A semipermanent deposit only color. Clairol Radiance (compareable to Sebastians), Clairol Complements (semi-permanent line). These are all professional products and can be found at Sally's.

Whatever you do, don't use Henna! :nono: If you don't know what you're doing I suggest that you go to a professional. Last year I made the same mistake you did, luckily, I was able to return to a color close to my natural color. Also, I put a mahogany rinse on top of my color to balance things out. I hope all works out for your hair!

I agree.

You can always cover it up with adore, jazzing, or another rinse.

Rinses do not have any peroxide or ammonia in them so they should not cause any damage.

I have a question about color as well i am currently a meduim blonde color which i really love but the up keep is a pain in the butt. I want to go to a light brown which is safe for blonde hair (no grean) but since my hair is blonde i am worried about the up keep. How do some of you that have a lighter hair color do it?
