I have just moved into a new place and I have washed my hair a total of 3 times in this house and all three left my hair in a tangled and nasty mess. Is it possible that the water has some kind of chemical in it that is destroying my hair. I had braids in a couple of weeks ago and when I took them out to wash my hair it was so matted and tangled I ended up losing 7 inches of hair from this. Is there anything I can do about this, or do you guys think I am just not washing my hair with the right shampoo or something. But this never happend to my hair in the old house and that water always felt hard but it did nothing to my hair. Please help figure out what it might be or what I need to do. I have to wash my hair tonight but I am scared. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

get a shower filter... that's what i did... i was tired of my hair being hard and matted /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I bought the Paragon Shower filter for $27.43 from HomeDepot.com.

the shower filter will soften the water and your hair along with your skin too! /images/graemlins/up.gif

The water in UK, is hard also, I shower my hair, then I rinse using a teaspoon of bicarbonate, with aloe vera gel, olive oil and water, which softens the water and my hair.
