I just bought a hard hat bonnet dryer (a few months ago), but I need a new one! My entire head does not fit in the dryer (with rollers of course)!! :nono:

Please help me find a dryer that is big enough for large rollers, and will dry my ENTIRE head evenly. Also, I've been looking at this one (please provide reviews if you've used this or know someone who has):

http://www.folica.com/Hot_Tools_Tourm_d4402.html

I know about Pibbs, but I have some questions: Can it fold for storage or be broken down conveniently?

I can't stand that it takes me so long to do my hair! I really don't have the time; and don't want to "reserve" a day to do my hair. Especially for something simple as a wash n set.

TIA for your help.

I'm not sure if any of the table top dryers will fit your needs. They were always a pain for me to sit under and just lower in quality to the stand up dryers imo.

A lot of the ladies here like those soft bonnet dryers that you put on your head. I've heard you can even fall asleep in them, maybe you should try one of those.

Thanks. I think I have what you're referring to. Is that the one that you attach to your hair dryer? I already have one; but I don't know if that would fit around large rollers. I guess I'll try it.

Ionic soft bonnet hair dryer my friend. :yep:

I LUV THIS PRODUCT- MisterMan calls it my "dope a$$ space helmet". No more need to be cramped under one of those heavy clumsy hard dryers. It works on my rollersets even when I use the super large bonnet rollers they all fit. AND it dries in half the time.

You can find them on ebay if you have no luck at Sally's

The one I know of is a separate machine. It has a base and the hood and hose is attached to it. It has a large bonnet that may fit snug around large rollers, but should fit. They sell them at Sally's and othe BSS. Pull the hood out to see before you buy...:yep: I think they retail between $30-40...

The Pibbs doesn't fold easy for storage, you can break it down, but I think it would be a pain...

I would go for the bonnet, bc you can use it on your beautiful DD's hair sometimes if needed. It'll be more comfortable for both of you...

No it is it's own self contained unit. You just slip the neck loop over your head followed by the dryer itself, plug it in and turn it on. They also have different heat settings including cool.

Hey, EZ, could you provide a pic of the one you use? I saw a few pics after googling; and I am not sure which one you're using.

TIA

I bought this recently from a local BSS for $59.99. I like it a lot. my hair drys quickly and the heat is pretty evenly distributed. It's not a PIBBS but it gets the job done. :yep: The hood is extra large similar to the Hot Tools Tourmaline.

I have the one op mentioned and the jury is still out on it though because I only used it once on myself but today is wash and roll day so I will post again to say if it stays or goes. One thing I can say is that it blows really good but not hot hot which I wish it was hotter. The one for 59.99 is it ionic? Even so, thats a good price I wish I could find that somewhere here. I paid 119 for mine which isn't too bad.

No, unfortunately, it isn't.

Is the Hot Tools Tourmaline IONIC 1875 a good dryer for you so far? What is ionic?

Here's something from another thread I posted in about ionic process:yep::

The ionic process is supposed to bathe your hair in negative ions, which then attach to positively charged wet hair, and locks in moisture. When you turn it on, it uses the negative ions to raise the efficiency of your hair to retain/restore it's natural water balance...
Ionic hair dryers are supposed to make the hair sleeker and shinier (and debatably dry faster?) bc the hair is optimally charged to retain the maximum amount of moisture even through the heat drying process...
