That explains why my flatirons wont get bouncy and light, it happends everytime, and today I didn't use ANY product on my hair at all, and it's still greasy :nono:

How do I fix this problem???

Hrm.

The oil has to be coming from somewhere.

Was your hair clean? Do you have an oily scalp? Do you use any products on your scalp? Is your flat iron clean? When's the last time you clarified?

you just figured this out or was it something that just happened?

My guess is wash more often. My hair is pretty dry so I always have to apply oil. You're transitioning right?

My hair got greasy easily when I was relaxed. I agree you just may have to poo more. 2-3 times a week is not too much if the shampoo is not drying

Did you mix any oils in your conditioners? Are you pre-pooing with oils and aren't washing it out all the way? Also, what are you using before you apply heat, is it greasy?

Consider a moisturizing shampoo as your final step AFTER shampoo and conditioner has been applied to the hair. My hair buddy taught me this and I never have build up if I shampoo AFTER I condition. It works for me.

Also make sure you are rinsing all the product out of your hair. Only add a leave in to wet hair. I hope this helps.
