So i this spot in my head. Its my STRESS SPOT as my stylist says. I pat or beat on my head... hitting in a certain spot. Its really short hair there also. I mean like a 6 month old baby length.Im not sure why I do this, but I find myself doing when I dont realize. I have been trying to find ways to stop it and nothing has been proven yet. How can I stop this? Its at the top of my head and it still gets covered.

Does anyone know any good ways to get rid of this? I'va noticed that when I cowash with my EVOO and ACV, I dont have any type of itching for a few days, then it starts again. ladies... WHAT to DO?

Re your 'stress spot': It sounds as though it's an compulsive anxiety-coping mechanism, similar to trichotillomania, which is compulsive hair-pulling. See more here: Trichotillomania - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and here Welcome to the Trichotillomania Learning Center .

You might want to consider how you feel and what you are going through when you 'beat' your head. If you are doing it to relieve stress, anxiety, etc., you might want to look into a support community or for a therapist. It doesn't sound as though you have major difficulties but it could become something serious, hair-wise and mental health-wise. If you are only doing it absent-mindedly and not as a coping mechanism, just wearing a silk scarf as much as possible so that you lack access to the hair might help.

Good luck.

Relaxed or natural? You must explore why you A. Feel the need to constantly pat the spot. & B. Why THAT spot?

As a relaxed head I found myself constantly touching, feeling my crown. This area sustained the most damage from over 20 yrs of relaxing....

Try to take vitamins and use wild growth oil or/and a sulfur oil to grow it back. To prevent it stop stressing girl and exercise and eat better. Also find something to do that helps you destress...
Maybe you could clarify and do moisture deep con.

Nizoral shampoo works for getting rid of the itchies. Also using natural shampoos and conditioners.

I do the exact same thing, pat my head when I'm irritated and when it's itching, only realised this week how bad my crown had got. Decided to wash more often.

Im relaxed so far. I trying to go natural without cuttingmy hair off. Feeling the constant need is relieving the itch and IDK why that spot. Its the spot that itches the most. I know when an old stylist was deep conditioning with a tingly conditioner, it would stop. But since I havent been in so long that IDK what kind she used.

IM TRYING!!! lol Ive been trying for years and it is so hard to stop. I feel addicted in some case. Im actually going to get my first claifying poo and a deep moisture con this weekend. Im trying Kenra Clarifying and Moisturzing Poo and ORS Replenishing Pak [been using this for years]. Im also going to get some Biolage Leave-in Tonic for moisture when I used the EVOO daily. I also weekly EVOO and ACV my hair before wash/con and blowdry.
