My hair is breaking, shedding, and my scalp is horribly horribly dry. I already think I know why. I haven't been able to really eat in a couple weeks, and I had to o to the hospital this weekend for dehydration. Problem is, it is now showing up in my hair. I know the simple answer is, eat something, and drink lots of water, but is there any good topical solution I can use until I get fully better?

sounds like you answered your own question...I really hope that you are back in good health soon. The thing that is coming to my mind is to use a shampoo &/or conditioner with biotin & panthenol in it. Don't ask me why--that's just what's popping into my head. A little (NOT A LOT, NOT KERATIN) protein might be helpful too.

In addition to the topical -and I know you don't want to hear about ingesting stuff- BUT I've found taking either Flax Seed Oil or Evening Primrose Oil helped increase the oil production of my skin and scalp is skin. I'm sorry you've suffered such trauma recently, ReaLuv. I wish you a speedy and full recovery.
