I am currently on the curly girl method top address my hair dryness issues, well I put my hair in plaits the night before and then tout out the braids to wear as a braid out. One side of my head my hair is full and I don`t easily reach my scalp. On the other side my head is very scalpy and the hair not thick. It is very noticeable did anyone have this problem and how did you fi this. I don`t remember my hair being like this before so it is not genetic. I have megatek that I mix with jbco and I am hoping it will help. Any other tips ladies?

Well for me I have had a problem with my hairline breaking off and thinning. I slowed down with the relaxers (stretching), put less stress on it (no braids or tight ponytails), and focused on moisturizing. I minimized fussing over it and just let it do its thing. It grew back thicker than ever. You might want to try black castor oil, I never tried it but I heard it helps.

Hmm, my hair is a little thinner on my right side near the back.

I believe part of my issue was from not being really careful with shoulder bags/purses. I don't get to carry a purse much these days, but when I do I generally carry on my right shoulder. I would sometimes to forget to my hair out the way.

Unfortunately, I then damaged that portion of my hair after leaving the flat iron on too long, and at a too high temperature. Fortunately, the heat damaged section is now almost near the lower shaft of my hair as it is growing out. I trim slowly. I just could not bring myself to cut the hair as I would need to cut both sides for evenness.

Do you use a scarf at night or any other accessories like bobby pins or barrettes on your thin side? Sometimes the not in my scarf can migrate during the night and put undo pressure on a section of my head.

Like you, I am massaging my weaker areas.

I noticed that the side I sleep on is thinner than the other side. Come over to the healthy edges and crown challenge. There's lot's of info there.
