i have a male friend who's hair is falling out at the top on the sides and we were both like that isn't normal because he is only 18:perplexed

so we were wondering what can we do to stop it and how can we fill in the spot and thicken up his hair???

What products should we use
what regimen
how to care for it at night...etc

Thank you ladies for all ur help:)

Whatever regimen he starts, IMO, he needs to consult a doctor first. It could be low red blood cells (low iron), a thyroid condition or something else.

It is safe to use castor oil in the meantime on his bald spots and hair for thickening.

he could be experiencing "early male pattern baldness" which is genetic. Rogaine with minoxidil is all I hear about for male baldness.. I think he should also go to his doctor for a proper diagnosis and then from that point he can get proper treatment.

Sorry this is happening to him.:(

he might just have male pattern baldness. My boyfriend started to bald when we were 15yrs old. Now at 27, he just makes sure to keep his head shaved, otherwise it's not pretty. I would suggest that he makes his way to his primary care doctor, or go to a dermatologist so that they can confirm the problem, and talk about what options he has, rather then try to use some potion that might not work.
