Hello All
I am about 4-5 months from my last relaxer my har is to the nape of my neck. I chopped it off. Can you give me some ideas on what to do to my hair after it is cowash. It can not fit into a ponytail. Also I love to se how defined the curls are on this website. Is there anyway someone can give me ideas on how to get my hair so defined and wavy. What products are you using can you give me some ideas. I am new here thanks.

What I usually do is air dry in flat twists, bantus, or curlers. When I want to use heat (which isn't very often) I will usually just comb my hair out while wet and let it airdry straight. Braidouts, twistouts, and bantus will give your hair a nice wave/curl to it when it dries.

If your hair is quite short, some natural ladies use the denman brush plus product like Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding, Fantasia gel, KCCC (Kinky Curly Curling Custard), Qhemet, etc to creat a wash and go look. There was a good you tube video with a girl that defined her natural curls after the co-wask nicely with fantasia gel. I'll see if I can find the link for you.

OK. Here are two You Tube videos
1. Kittykat1374 - Hair, before, during after- Takes you from the conditioner wash through the product application and Denman brush (from Sally's BSS) styling.
2. Misstwists- Wash and go hairstyle - Similar but she uses "cringe" the rat tail comb. Disclaimer: I recommend thorough detaingling and product application before using a small tooth comb.
