I have hot rollers, and gave some as a gift for christmas. I love them, they are a good standby when I need my hair to look good on short notice. They are not too damaging in my opinion. The hair in my siggy was after a hot roller set. Mine are probably about 15 years old, but they have really nice ionic ones now. I gave my aunt a set that was ceramic and ionic with 12 heat settings by Conair.
I have some but I only use them on my weaves. They work really nice though and dont take long. I tried to use them on my own har but they were too heavy and wouldn't stay in.
Yes I love heated rollers! As others have said they are excellent for a quick fix. I can put them in, jump in the shower and by the time I'm ready to finish my hair, it's nice and bouncy. I like the bounciness of this curl as opposed to a regular curling iron, flat iron and sometimes wet roller set (unless I do the saran wrap technique after taking the rollers out).
I have a set...they're great for like emergencies...I have the ones that are white when hot and then cool back to the color blue. I mean by the time I start setting the last roller, the first one has already set the curls. I'm talking maybe 15 minutes top
I have a set of..... I think its conair..........with the velvet touch.....not damaging at all. I love them...good for hair that the curls dropped like a flat doobie or something.
i love heated rollers also. Thanks for reminding me im getting lazy with flat ironing and will be pulling these out then to curl my weave...
forgot to add something that Bmoreflygyrl mentioned--i couldnt use them much anymore on my relaxed hair because of it being fine and thin because it would dry my hair out. But my hair would be great until i left to go to work and then it would react as if it had got wet and that was the end of the curls and it would look as if it was dry and i guess was taking moisture out of my hair.
I wear them. But, you BETTER deep condition. They can and will dry out your hair. Get the ones with a base that has an adjustable heat setting that way you can use the low-heat if you want.
Thanks everyone, I think I may go ahead and pick some up for a quick lift. I want to master the traditional rollerset but I'd like something quick. They come in travel cases too, right? I'm thinking I might want bouncy curls when I get back from deployment. I gotta look good for my DH upon seeing him after 6 months , I can't wait! It's gonna be explosive!
