would my hair become damaged if i blew out my hair with an ion hair dryer about once every one and a half weeks? Is that to often to put heat on the hair?
but i thought ion dryers were good for your hair-- I heard Ion dryers are fine to use weekly, but just make sure to keep your hair conditioned and use a good heat protectant.
I use my Ion blow dryer on medium/low once a week. I condition my hair for 20-30 minutes with a moisturizing conditioner as well as use a good leave-in/heat protectant before I use it. I've been doing this for a year and my hair is doing fine.
i don't think your hair will really get damaged. i mean every 1 1/2 weeks.... that's not too bad. just condition a lot and take good care of your hair otherwise and you'll be fine.

I think you should be careful, I used to use heat once a week before I joined this bored, and my ends woould get really dry and break off, even with deep conditioning. I guess it should be ok if you use low heat and hold the dryer a little farther away from your head to minimise damage.
I blow dry my hair once a week after using a deep conditioner and haven't had any problems with breakage or over drying. Use a heat protectant and moisterize your hair before blow drying. I highly recommend that you use an ion blow dryer. Also there is a particular method you should use when blow drying. Don't use max heat and focus on the Roots up to the middle of the hair shaft because the ends usually dry on their own. Did that make any sense?
