I have transitioning hair and when I go to the salon she blows it out with blow dryer ..Im kinda new to natural hair and just trying to get 2 inch of hair In 6 months because I had a major setback .. I use to get it flat iron and blow out now I just get it blow dry every 2 weeks ...and then She puts in a protective style or if I get Bantu knots she would just put me under the dryer .. Is the healthy or would it stop dm from getting length and how often should I oil my scalp because I don't want to overload in oil .. So I've been doing it ever other day

Any heat is bad but I think that twice a month isn't awful, I flat ironed once a week and have still got to MBL.

I don't think that's bad at all.
I don't really understand , are you trying to retain length during your transition? Or you only grew 2 inches?
