I have tried the 1st Lather shampoo. It works well but you must completely saturate your hair with water first so that it lathers properly.

I love the Leave-In conditioner and highly recommend it.

I have not used the Super Reconstructor. I have it on my long list of things to try one day.

I used the blow dry lotion but it was a little heavy for my hair. So, I know use the Lite Oil Moisturizer with Heat Protection Agents. I obtained much better results with this one.

I haven't used the Elasta QP protein product.

I've tried the KeraCare Leave-In. It's thick and moisturizing. My hair liked it. I've been using Kiehl's Leave-In for a couple of years now though.

I've tried the leave-in and my hair hates it. It left my hair gummy and coated. Ive also tried humecto and that was so greasy and so NOT noisturizing. And Ive also tried their shampoos and it dries my hair out. Their shampoos have an off the scale PH level.

I currently use KeraCare 1st Lather shampoo, KeraCare Hydrating/Detangling shampoo, KeraCare Leave-In conditioner, KeraCare Humecto conditioner, KeraCare 5 in 1 Reconstructor, and KeraCare Super Reconstructor. The 1st Lather Shampoo is a good clarifying shampoo, but it should be used in conjunction w/the Hydrating/Detangling shampoo. The Hydrating/Detangling shampoo is wonderful. It leaves my hair feeling smooth and moisturized. The leave-in conditioner works best for me right after I shampoo. I usually mix it with ORS Carrot Oil creme and rub it throughout the hair, then sit under the dryer. It absorbs wonderfully and leaves my hair feeling soft. The Humecto is equally wonderful. I sit wearing a cap under the dryer about 30 minutes and rinse. My hair is always soft, moisturized, and never greasy. The reconstructor and super reconstructor are good, but not the strongest protein treatments out there.

As far as ph, the lst Lather is ph 4.5 and the Hydrating/Detangling is ph 6.0. On the ph scale (o-14, 7 is neutral, below 7 is acidic and above is alkaline), 1st Lather is acidic and Hydrating/Detangling is only slightly acidic. A product that is alkaline will swell the cuticle layer of the hair, leaving it standing straight out and feeling rough. Whereas, an acid contracts or closes the cuticle leaving the hair feeling softer and looking shiner.

Remember, what works for one person may not work for another.

Thanks all for your responses. I think i'll get all of the keracare line since I am so happy with the shampoo & humecto. The jury's still out on the lotion because I usually don't apply that stuff to my hair, maybe I'll buy it and use it for straw sets b/c I absolutely hate lottabody ... YUCK!

I have had great results with the Humecto, leave-in, and Foaming wrap lotion, I had okay results with the Oil rich blow dry lotion (better results on my daughters thicker hair...don't know if that's the one your talking about though.

I LOVE Redkens So Long Heat Treat as a leave in...it is excellant and seals the ends (I always use it no matter how I style). It is about 13 for a 5oz bottle, kinda pricey upfront, BUT a little goes a long way. The last bottle I bought was beginning of April, and I still have 3/4 of the bottle left. I use Keracare's leave all over and I concentrate heat treat from mid-strand down.
