Should I call my dresser and tell her? I wanted her to color me next time but now I dont know. How hard could it be to apply highlights or a color at home?

Did u tell her that u were planning on getting a color the next time? Maybe that is why she didnt relax it all the way.

Yes I have...and most recently, I did it to myself

. I don't mind actually. Of course, when the hairdresser did it, I only found out after washing my hair, because rollersetting/flatironing straightens it out. Did you want bone straight hair? You could always tell her. It can't hurt. I never said anything because it never caused me any problems and I didn't want my hair too straight. This usually happens where my hair is most reistant, in the crown. I don't know if this is an indicator that she would botch your highlights. Go with what your gut tells you.

this is the way i always get my hair relaxed. i prefer that it not be bone straight. the main reason is that there isn't that much difference between the new growth and previously relaxed hair. so there isn't a problem with breakage where the two textures meet.
