Has anyone seen a trichologist....

who was not a "rip off" and actually helped their hairloss? I've been researching trichologists and it seems like they all have their own product lines. I am a little skeptical about so-called specialists who peddle their products.

Yes, I have been to one. Years ago I applied a clear cellophane to my hair.
After a while my scalp started itching fiercly. I purchased dandruff shampoo and Scalpicin to stop the itching, nothing worked. In addition to the itching my hair started to shed.
I went to the trichologist and she did refer me to her products. I have to tell you, THEY WORKED! The itching stopped instantly and my hair stopped shedding.
