Has anyone here not trimmed in 2 years?

I was wondering cuz I am so desperate for two more years worth of length ,( i want to be a "secure" waist length or longer) who has not trimmed in that long?? I dont mean dusting,, thats a necessity no matter what i think... but lets say a trim of an inch or more,,,, has anyone who uses heat not done this in up to two years? I am natural but flat iron at least every 2 weeks,, i NEED heat lol but ive discovered my ends straighten out on their own so thats helping... I need an inspiration now!!

I honestly can't remember the last time I got a cut, trim, dust or anything. I went to a salon about 2-3 yrs ago, but I didn't get a trim cause the stylist said she didn't like to cut when it wasn't needed (crazy, huh? ) So it was before that..... I'll guess and say the last time I got my hair cut was when I was about a Soph or Jr in hs because I had my hair cut in a short style and had to keep it up. So it's been about 7 years I guess. My ends look decent if I do say so myself I'm not gonna trim till I reach my APL goal in Feb, but even then it'll probably be a little dusting. I don't know if I have split ends, but if I do, they haven't ''traveled up the hair shafts'' or anything, they just stayed put. I think that might be a myth

I'm just rambling on and on. I hope I'm making sense, it's 2:45 am and I'm so exhausted, but I can't sleep. Anywho, yeah, it's been a while since I had a trim

I got a relaxer after being natural for seven years. To be honest with you, during that seven year period of being natural, I never trimmed. And I probably conditioned no more than five times and that's a guesstiment. I am just plain lazy about hair maintenance. I tried to shampoo weekly and kept my hair braided (with no fake hair added). My hair thrived. When I sought out a beautician, she was really surprised that I didn't have alot of damage to my hair since I obviously wasn't taking care of it. Not to mention, it grew like crazy. When I relaxed, my hair was a little below BSL. Now I'm starting a hair journey and I am praying that my hair doesn't go crazy with all of the stuff I'm doing to it (Deep conditioning, scheduled shampoos, etc).

Same here. I was natural for about 4 years and never trimmed during that time. I'm relaxed now and haven't trimmed in a year, won't be trimming for at least another year.

I haven't. But I don't use heat and I protect my ends obsessively. The last time I cut/trimmed was in 2005.
