I want to start taking hair vitamins due to everywhere I look I read that taking them will cause great changes in hair health..This may be a dumb question, but do they make hair grown in unwanted places such as your chest and face? I want to make sure before I start looking as hairy as my hubby:lachen:

I think body hair growth is determined by hormones. So if whatever you are taking affects the hormones in your body there is that chance. I took biotin for years and my hair loved it but the side effect I experienced was acne, not excess body hair. Now I take chlorella and MSM and I have no noticeable side effects, just increased head hair growth.

I'm sure others will chime in with their experiences.

I just started taking Chlorella today. What has your monthly hair groeth been since you started taking it? TIA!

I took Hair 37 --it didn't make hair grow in unwanted places (I took it for like 4 months) and loved the results I got (3 additional inches of hair in 2 months) BUT...I hated having to take six pills a day--and they weren't the easiest to swallow--plus it was really pricey!

Oh I don't take it regularly enough to be a good reference. I started out taking like 6 pills a day but that got old. The month I stuck with it I'd say I got 3/4 of an inch. Now I just take 2 a day and hope it is helping.

I started out taking perfectil and had horrible stomach cramps everyday. I stopped it after a week and when my stomach went back to normal I changed to 21st century advanced formula. I've been taking it for 2 weeks but my hair is in braids now so I'm not really sure if it's making a difference or not. Probably need to take it for a couple of months to see a difference.

I personally haven't had trouble with the vits I take. I take Biotin and a B-complex. When I first started with the biotin, lots of posters were reporting trouble with "biotin bumps" but I heard that drinking lots of water (that's pretty much all I drink anyway) and taking a B-complex with it will alleviate problems with bumps. I've been steadily on biotin for like 2 years and have yet to see an increase in acne or bumps. I have always had pretty clear skin, though. YMMV.

I think everyone is different.... I took Nouritress consistently for a couple of months and discontinued the use because I noticed tiny strands of facial hair popping up that I never had before. Though I had great!!! hair growth results and glowing skin:grin:, this side effect was enough for me to stop. Just my two cents hope it helps.:sunshine:
