I just got a touchup and washed my hair 4 days after and i notice when i run my fingernail over my scalp I see a whitish residue.
I am wondering if I need a clarifying shampoo. Has this ever happened to anyone?
And can anyone recommend a good non-drying clarifying shampoo?

It sounds like build-up to me. IMO, a clarifying shampoo should do the trick.

You may need to get a neutralizing shampoo. Since you just got a touchup it may be residue from the relaxer. A neutralizing shampoo will remove it as well as any regular product build-up.

i used one but it was extremely harsh on my hair and made it tangled! adding a little baking soda to my conditioner does the trick for me!

I tried Abba molasses purifier and it worked great. My hair feels much cleaner and not itchy at all.And also soo soft.
Has anyone ever tried this clarifying shampoo?

I use Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo when I need to clarify my hair.
