Yes I get told that all the time that. People prefer my hair to be a choppy sexy style. Because I have always had long hair except for the last year and a half. Check out my pics.

Well I never had long hair, so this is a huge change for all of us. I feel the long hair (with weaves so far) makes me look mature now.

I've had some girls in school to tell me that I needed to cut my hair into a really short hairstyle. At that time I was a bit naive and thought that they were being genuine, but I found out otherwise.

That's how my short cut got started. Buy a 'friend' who advised me, and then chickened out getting hers cut.Luckily, it worked for me!

I think longer hair looks better on me personally. I am still undecided as to whether it looks better shoulder length...as opposed to what it is now, though.

As for me, I've never had anyone tell me I should cut my hair or that I look better with shorter hair come to think of it...so I'm GUESSING that most people would agree that shorter is NOT the way to go for me. Which is cool....I mean, I could rock a style around shoulder length of just above it, but anything shorter and I think I look kinda weird...

I think long hair on you is just great! You look fresher faced with long hair.

Yes. I always chopped my hair back to CBL for years for this very reason. Now that I'm natural, though, I need the length so that I can pull it back easily and to keep my curls under control.

When I was a kid, my mom would always try to talk me into cutting my hair super short..."You would look great with short hair. It would compliment your face so well...blah blah blah." Truth was she that she was desperate for me to cut it so that she wouldn't have to deal with it anymore. I never fell for it, though.

Yep...my Mom is constantly badgering me about cutting my hair. I've never had long hair and she can't seem to get over it. I guess it's a Mom thing.

I was just thinking about Nia Long today...shorter styles are sooo hot on her...she just has the face and the features for it. She was in some movie where she had a longer weave in (it was wavy and around BSL) and I thought that it distracted from her beauty...

I agree with this.

I'm APL now, but ppl have told me that my hair looked better when I had a shoulder length bob.

Someone tells me almost daily and I was forced to agree with them as the result of a stylist who didn't listen.
