Hello. My name is Ciera and I'm a recovering pj. After discovering Joico, I no longer want to continue my streak of PJism.

I cheated on him a couple of times but nobody I mean NOBODY puts it down like my boo. I  Joico.

I added up all my hair expediters for one month a while back and the total made my heart hurt.

I havent bought 1 thing in over 2 months and I am STILL working on the stash.

umm when i realized i had a gazillion different shampoos and conditioners i wasnt using.....check out my siggie if anyone wants to get something off of me!

After I joined the buy nothing for June challenge, I cleaned up the my closet and started grouping things by product type. I have several shampoos, conditioners, leave-ins, heat protectants... the list goes on. I couldnt believe what I had become. Most things have barely been used, I am making myself use what I have first. I still have minor times of weakness , that darn mt thread :ohwell:, but i held out months on that one.

Thats where I am at right now, I refuse to continue this 'I gotta stock up mode' its ridiculous at this point!

I will not be buying anything else!

when i realized my bathroom was turning into a bss. i still have pjism...but now i look more for exclusive online products

After you have tried just about every line on earth, you get tired

Seriously though, I want longer hair. I need to stick to the things that work so that is what I am doing for the most part now. I am tired of constant setbacks and since I had the habit of using so much stuff, I had a hard time pin pointing where things would go wrong. I look at some of the ladies that have my hair type and have reached their length goals and one of the things they all have in common is that they don't use 1,000 different things. Now I still love getting new stuff but I don't have the itch as bad as I used too. I am going to try a different approach to my hair for a while and a reduction in many commerical products is a part of it.

ojon. thats my new lover. i love ojon shampoo, conditioner, revitalizing mist AND the restrative treatment. the only other product i MUST have that isnt ojon is my paul mitchell moisture mist and keracare creme hairdress.
i look at all my other products and just shake my head because they cant compare. i like redken all soft line but ojon got it beat hands down.

I'm gonna just pretend I didnt read this

A couple years ago, after I starting wearing weave I bought so much stuff that my DH moved all of my hair products into another bathroom. So that bathroom is full. A year ago I started wearing lace wigs and filled up my main bathroom with more stuff. Now I'm working on my OWN hair and don't have room for any more products so - it MUST stop. However, on the bright side, I was reading old threads last night and read that Silicon Mix was a great DC. I already have it! So now my PJism just means shopping in my own house instead of buying more stuff. (Well, except for the MT, EVCO, JBCO, EOs, and HE HH I bought last week. Oh, and the Phytospecific stuff from 2 weeks ago.) But other than that - I'm DONE. :lachen::lachen::lachen:

I don't know if I was ever hard core, but I got carried away there for a minute. I've only bought one hair product in the last 4 or 5 weeks, though, so much better. I think I've come to the realization that most products do the same thing, so might as well just pick the ones that are the best of the bunch I've tried so far because it's really unlikely that, if I haven't found something to wow me in the last 20 or 30 products, there really is anything that can.

organized my stuff by type and saw i didnt need all that stuff
did the buy nothing for june
started cowashing everyday so i didnt need anything but conditioners
got bigger sizes of my conditioners and shampoo
got twists so i dont need any styling aids.

i still see stuff (like all those raves for shescentit and hairveda) but i will not try them till at least one of these liters of kenra mc is gone, and i have to get rid of a few of these bonus size suave tropical coconuts before i think about trying new cowash condishes.

Kenra and Joico. Their quality just can't be denied. :lachen: They really make for a well rounded regimen. I've saved myself a whole lot of space, too. I buy my babies in bulk sizes-- there is no turning back. :lachen:
