Hard water ?

I have a friend who recently moved to Boston and her daughter's relaxed hair is really suffering because of it. It's dry and snapping and she is at her whit's end. Any suggestions?

She can buy a water filter They sell them at home depot and target from 10-40 dollars you attach it to your shower head.

She can add liquid aloe vera and or/ glycerin to her conditioners and/or shampoos. That's what i do and i have had fantastic results.
