wow, your hear looks GREAT!!!!!! it's thick and healthy. did you get it flat ironed at the salon or did you do it yourself? it looks really really good. after you washed and conditioned your hair, the only product you used on it to flatiron it was kemy oil???? and how did you dry it before flatironing it? i know a lot of questions...but i'm thinking about buying a flat iron myself and i don't really know what product to use with it, especially when my hair is already dry from blowdrying....
and by the way, i think you will be at bra strap length before may

Happy New Year Nay!!! It's so funny that you're the first to respond b/c my mom and I were just looking @ your feature of the month! She thinks you look like one of the Jackson women, who she thinks are very pretty!
Anyways, all I do is wash with a non-SLS shampoo, condition w/ Pantene S & S, and air dry in two braids. I don't use any leave ins at the moment b/c they weight my hair down. Anyways, as for the flat ironing, I use a ceramic flat iron, and I just put a dab of Kemi Oyl on each section before I smooth over it with the iron. Then I wrap overnight. I think the trick to the smoothness is having a quality ceramic flat iron, and using the back of it when you smooth - almost like using the back of a pressing comb. Then wrapping it overnight really tames it down. Thanks for the compliment, but it seems like my bra strap keeps running away the closer I get to it!!!

Happy New Year Ladies! Thanks so much for all of the compliments! It feels good to finally be able to look at pictures of my hair, b/c in person I'm so hard on it! To me, it looks dry, the new growth drives me nuts, and I have one side that always grows slower! But even my mom said she didn't realize that my hair had grown that long until she looked at the pictures, and I've been visiting her for almost 2 weeks now! It really does help to chart your progress, so those who haven't started an album, you need to do it NOW!!!
And as for my cousin and his wife (OT board), she asked me this morning what I used to get so much shine!

Those pics were taken with a digital camera that belongs to my cousin. They came out so well that I'm thinking of investing in one myself!
And as for my cousin and his wife (OT board), she asked me this morning what I used to get so much shine!
