Look in Kking's album. She has a version of the half and half wrap.
I do what I call a 2-sided wrap sometimes. Imagine busting your hair down the middle (parting) but in the back only. (not starting at the forehead but more at the crown and going down to the nape.
Then you have 2 sides of hair. Take one of those halves and wrap it around your head in the opposite direction. (wrap right side to the left-------wrap left side to the right) The first side that you wrap will lay on top of the side of hair that's still hanging (waiting to be wrapped.) Pin your first side wherever it ends (depends on length) I use a metal curl clip.
Then you take the side that's still hanging and wrap it in the opposite direction. It will end up going below the side that has already been wrapped. Pin the ends where it stops.

yep, this is exactly how i do mine. it works soo much better than the traditional wrap. my hair much swingier this way.
what I still don't understand is what you attach the hair your wrapping to , if the side you haven't wrapped yet is still just hanging there - but from kking's pciture it looks like you can attach the hair your wrapping to itself ...yes?
That's funny you posted this - I was just looking at her album today since I flatironed my hair and wanted to wrap it tonite. Thanks for posting the instructions!

The way I do it is diff. than Kking's--just wanted to clarify that.
Now with my way--the two sides end up criss-crossing in the back.

This is what I pictured when I read the previous instructions. I can't imagine how else the hair can be wrapped if it isn't criss-crossed. I've tried the criss-crossing method in the back but I still haven't mastered it yet (but I will!)
I've added some photos of the method that Keish and Supergirl use. (at least I think this is what they do!) Anyhow, I wish I had known how to wrap my hair like this when I was relaxed. I used to hate trying to wrap all of my hair around my head at night! Alt Wrap Method Pics

I do mine like this too. It works well.
That's the only way that I wrap my hair, the "traditional" method leaves my hair looking like a hot mess for some reason, even when the hairdresser wraps it. To prevent thinning, I'll alternate wrapping the right over the left 1 night and do it the left over the right the next night.
