Question, how are folks DCing with this masque? Like do you go under a dryer with it? DC overnight? Or follow the label instructions (1 hour on wet or dry hair)?

Last night, I DCed with it for an hour w/o heat. I liked the way my hair came out. Less poof factor, more sleekness. My hair is now in a pony tail "braid out" which looks nice, shiny and well-defined. (I'll try to add a pic after I get back from tutorial).

Just wanted to know what you all were doing...

I slather it on after shampooing, and sit with it for an hour under a heating cap.

I agree with this method. For me this is the best way to use SitriNillah - with heat. I've left it on overnight, but just using this product for 1 hour with a heat cap does my hair good :drunk:

i sit from 35-45 minutes with a heated conditioning cap...but i usually do all my dc's with the cap tho

Thanks for the replies guys. I was hesitant to go under my soft bonnet, b/c I didn't know if it would 'separate' or something from the heat (not sure if that can even happen when a product is applied to the hair, but I wanted to be on the safe side).

Here's the pic:

So Anxious12,
You can order a heat cap on-line. I ordered mine from the Treasured Locs website. They have 2 different styles to choose from. One you can heat up in the microwave, and another style you can plug into an electrical outlet, with low, medium, and hi heat settings. I ordered the plug-in one about 3 months ago. I use it when DCing each week. The heat helps the hair to absorb all those DC goodies!! I absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!

DC w/heat most days, but I have slept in it and slathered it on then went about town doing my business :look:. If I'm not too heavy handed, I can't see it in my hair (on the days I go out with it in). LOVE it!

I sent BJ a PM earlier telling her about SO coming over w/a dayum Gladware container to get some conditioner :lachen:. I snatched that container and put it on the counter and came back w/a lil empty 8 oz jar and put some in there. He was like "That's it?" You didn't put in on this, man! I was just glad he didn't try to bring an empty margarine bowl. I know how my man does it :lachen:.

:lachen: I wish my SO was more into hair products. His "hair lotion" (some back in the day gunk that comes in a white opaque bottle with blue writing) is a hot mess, but he says he needs it, b/c if not his hair is 'dry' (mind you he has like a quarter inch of hair...).

Sounds like my daddy and his Blue Majic. I didn't realize SO was so vain. Wait, is that the pot calling the kettle...? Anyway, I don't think he really cared until he found someone with an in-home BSS. He's always diggin thru stuff and asking what it is and what it does. His hair is in the 3a range and he likes anything that keeps it soft and shiny .

My BF loves the way my hair smells (Hairveda). He does feel I have issues. Like today when I told him I was picking up a package from the condo office he was like "I hope its not more hair products!"

Mine got on board after I gave him a reason for my addiction to products, especially ones that smell good. I'll keep it PG, but after I explained my rationale, his face said it all. Needless to say, he's a HUGE Hairveda and KBB fan :lachen:

Trust, it's been discussed already! I share w/my sis and mom (him too, I guess ) but even with them, I give them the site address or tell them they can put in on some more if they like it. We've done this a couple times. Now as for other people, pffft. Amscray.

Oops you saw it before I edited it. I thought this was the thread about SO's.

Post whatever you like! :lachen:

My SO is still getting used to me going the healthy hair route. Before, my hair was usually straight due to a Dominican blowout and I wore it out a lot. Now, I do more braidouts and buns, with the occasional roller set and flat iron when I have an event. Anyways, b/c of that, he's always asking "When are you going to press your hair?" And I'm always like :perplexed "Huh? Baby I have a relaxer...You don't press relaxers." And his reply is "Whatever..."

Thank you for bumping this thread Kurlee....I've been wanting to try the Sitrinillah Masque but wasn't sure how it would work on my relaxed hair (i was too lazy to do a search). I'm going to order it right now!

I used sitrinillah last week and I didnt like it :(. I didnt see/feel the WOW results that everyone said they experienced here. I'll use it again next week for 30min under the dryer to see if Ill have a different experience.

I feel the same way; It wasn't really bad but it wasn't as moisturizing as I would have like either. I will use it up though eventually with some added oil.
