Has anyone used this product? I read about it on another board and they reviewed it as being very good. I was at a different bss on saturday, and i saw it and purchased it. I have a wash and wear relaxer and ususally i keep it moist with my homemade moisturising spray. Well I'm tired of dealing with wet hair that I have to style almost everyday, so yesterday I took my hair puff down, and instead of going through the regime of spraying it down, I took my styling silk and massage it through my hair. It's a gel. Well my curls were defined, and my hair was moist and it had a sheen to it. My hair was dry and it looked very nice. I told myself, this is how I will be wearing my hair once I get a little more length. I was very pleased with this product. It is definitely a keeper. Just wanted to share.

Where did you purchase this?

I purchased it from Gigi Beauty Supply in Maryland area. I am so impressed with it because sometimes when people have natural curly hair, it appears to look dry and I'm sure that my hair looked the same way. Well I have always sprayed my hair down and so it stayed wet/moist. I never allowed my hair to dry completely. I always wear my hair in a bun/plait. Well I experimented with this styling silk on sunday and scrunched it into my hair and the end result was soft hair, it had a sheen and the curls were enhanced. I told myself, this is it!

This sounds interesting. What is a "wash and wear relaxer"? I'm relaxed straight so would this help my straight hair maintain a wavy pattern?

It's an expensive texturizer. Jazma out of Canada are the originator of the product. They use a relaxer called "kerasoft" which is a lye relaxer that somehow they perfected to bring about what they desired. They leave it on your hair for as long as a relaxer (mines was about 20-30minutes) because my hair was natural and they have to comb the relaxer through my hair. It all depends on the curl/wave in your own natural hair that determines what the relaxer will look like. I have curls/waves and it is very cute. However, i am not going to get them anymore because they are expensive. I am going to start doing my own relaxing using the SE lye relaxer. I had a touchup with kerasoft and I don't know if she did not leave it in that long, or if the relaxer just didn't take. Usually I wait at least 12-14 weeks before giving myself another touchup, but I am going to give myself one this saturday. I have about 2 1/2 inches of puffiness that i want to release the curl just a little bit more. I don't want straight hair. Jazma promotes leaving at least some of the texture in your hair which contributes to elasticity and helps to prevent breakage. People look at me and think my hair is natural, that is how much this wash and wear relaxer looks like your own natural hair but like i said it depends on the natural curl pattern in your own hair. I am going to try to achieve a texturized look by leaving the SE relaxer on only the part of my hair that is puffy for about (5-8min.) and if this works, then I will be doing my own relaxers. You can go to Jazma.com to learn more.
