when you feel your hair is damaged do you continue to wash it, trying to nurse it with protein and moisturizer conditioners or do you leave it alone?

I believe I have been using too much heat on my hair therefore my hair is very soft and snaps at the sight of a comb.

Too much emphasis on moisture and perhaps oil, but no protein = hair that is too soft and so elastic that it cannot stand up to wet combing; it stretches and then snaps.

I just copied this for you from the post called
The key to optimal moisture(long)
I think it is on page 5. Check it out

Aubrey organic is a good protein treatment and nexxus emergencee is Excellant for a stronger protein treatment. Its expensive but it lasts a long time cos it is very concentrated.

I would create a regimen that would give my hair a lot of moisture and protein. I would keep things as simple possible. I would definetly stop the use of heat.
