Can you hook a boring ol ponytail up? What are some hair xtras that you use to jazz up boring styles? Baby hair, tendrils, etc ..and my cuzzin makes her baby hair so cute. The key to hers is to use the real 'baby hair' not actual hair slicked down as far back as the crown of your head

She uses a tooth brush to do hers. Share your xtras and tips.

@ baby hair that isn't quite so young...

It's all about the hair clips and changing your parts if you're doing the ponytail thing (I usually wear low ponytails). I have a lot of shiny, glittery barrettes and things to match whatever I'm wearing.

I went through a phase, back when I still had bangs, when I wore my ponytails in the middle of the back of my head instead of lower, and I used to like using ribbons to dress it up. You buy those bags of ribbon remnants from walmart or a fabric store and have all sorts of pretty patterns

i love the baby hair thing and the trendils. Uh... let's see i love those hair sticks and different color clips and scruchies and stuff.

Re: Hair X-Tras! Whats urs? baby hair, tendrils,

Not to highjack this post, but when do you think one becomes too "old" to wear cute hair clips and other hairstlyes?

Re: Hair X-Tras! Whats urs? baby hair, tendrils,

I don't think so. I saw an older woman with the cutest big gray afro puff this weekend with a ribbon around it! It looked so nice and this woman had to have been in her fifties...

Re: Hair X-Tras! Whats urs? baby hair, tendrils,

Good. I'm about to hit the big 3-0 and don't want to give up all my clips, barettes, etc.

Nah, not really

There are some hair accessories that look quite mature and elegant for that "I don't wanna dress like my daughter" look.

Re: Hair X-Tras! Whats urs? baby hair, tendrils,

I do the baby hair thing when I wear buns or afro puff ponytails. And I use a toothbrush and smooth a little bit and use Ampro gel to hold it. I don't have to do the baby hair thing again until I wash it. The key is not to put too much or you end up looking like a relation to the Jacksons.

I probably still rock baby hair until I'm an old woman, unless I cut if off or get locks.

I do the baby hair thing with my daughter now when I braid her hair ( she's 1 so she actually still has baby hair, LOL)and by using the Ampro protein gel, it made her hairline grow in real nice..:)
