I am in the process of growing out my hair. I think I want to switch back to extensions. I am deciding whether I want tracks or cornwrows with synthetic hair. I'm familiar with cornrows, but I want to know what type of hair is best for weaving when getting tracks. The first time that I got tracks, I bought some fake Yaky hair, which was awful. It would tange, and was hard to come, you name it. Are there any kinds of hair that would go well with relaxed hair, and is there hair that is easy to comb and has no or very few trangles in it.

Thanks,
Karonica

The best type of hair for weaving is natural hair (non-synthetic). Currently, I have 4 tracks in the back of my hair for length. I can't remember the name of the brand of weave that I use, but the weave's texture is very similar to that of relaxed hair. The best thing to do when you go the store to purchase the weave, is to make sure that you feel the texture of the hair before you purchase it. The best thing about non-synthetic weaves is that you can treat it like your own hair, i.e. washing, blow drying, etc..

When you get a chance, could you please.....pretty please, tell me what's the name of that brand. If it's Yaky, then don't even worry about it./images/graemlins/smirk.gif

The BEST relaxed hair extensions are made by Extensions Plus. Totally natural, high quality, and reusable. It can be flatironed to match your flatironed hair, or allowed to airdry to match your airdried hair. http://www.extensions-plus.com I have some of this that I was able to reuse for about a year - and it is still in great condition.

I agree with the other ladies. You have to choose hair that mimics your own hair so that your weave blends naturally. Also yaki is a type of weave hair. All brands ie Sensationnel, Milky Way, Outre'm etc make Yaki hair. Yaki is just the name for straight weave hair that looks like relaxed AA type 4 hair. Its just a type no different than silky straight, body wave, wet n wavy, etc.

Extensions Plus is some of the best hair out there. You can use it over and over and over and over again so it is worth every penny. It is the hair that a lot of celebrities use. The also use this hair to make those $5000 lace fronts celebs wear. Be careful when using weaves as a growth aid. I know from experiance. If you have a bad stylist your hair will break off. I recently big chopped because my hair was destroyed by weaves. Weaves can grown your hair when done right. If you sit in the chair and:

-the stylist yanks and combs through your hair with a heavy hand
-if the braids feel tight
-if they don't condition your hair
-if they allow you to perm it right before they weave it

Than you immediately get up from the chair and leave. Do not pay them and tell them why. I know from experiance. All the signs were there that the stylists was ruining my hair but I ignored them.
