Well, I used the Vitamin Shoppe brand for three months and extra Biotin and saw progress (but I also use other stuff known to promote growth as well so....).

I'm currently using the Country Life Maxi Hair/Skin/Nail vitamins that I buy from Whole Foods ($12-15 for a 30 or 45 day supply) and I've noticed that my hair is growing much faster than it otherwise would. Even better is that I'm actually feeling growth in the nape area, which seldom has any growth. As long as I keep seeing results, I'm sticking with these vitamins.

I saw increased growth taking biotin and a super b-complex. I'm going to try the country life maxi-hair next, I keep hearing so many good things about them! :yep:

I love maxi hair vitamins, It has everything you need in a hair vitamin,in high dosages without the heavy price tag. I will never buy a different hair vitamin. I get them from Vitacost.com I stocked up last year when they went on sale for 6.00 and I have two bottles left.

I also tried country life maxi hair, about 5 yrs ago, dont know why i stopped. They r good...

I took regularl old Biotin pills last Fall and my hair grew SO FAST. I was only casually taking them too, like I somehow came across a Biotin article about hair growth and was sort of like hmmmm why not?! This was far before I ever ever thought of quitting relaxers/learning to take care of my own haire/etc. so I wasn't even washing my hair regularly or moisturizing or anything healthy for my hair, honestly. I was so excited!

I took a break from the pills then took them again. Then break for a couple months, etc., and now I'm taking them again....but I haven't experienced such a spurt as Sep 2009 that first month of taking them. I was amazed.

I don't know if it's the summer growth spurt I've been hearing about but my hair has gained an inch already and it has not been 30 days since I put my braids back in.

I just moved to a house on July 4, and the following wk had to go to a funeral with a friend of mine so I took out the old braids and washed dc'd and redid the braids all in the same day which was on 6 July. And today I did a measurement of my new growth and noticed it has grown an inch.

All I can contribute to the growth is my vitamins along with JBCO, JBCO with grapeseed oil mix.

The vitamins believe it or not are mostly from Dollar General. The only ones that are not were from Solgar (Spirulina) and my Women's One A Day! Last month I was taking the Hair Finity vitamins but ran out.

The other vitamins from Dollar General are Vit E, FLaxseed caps, B-12, and Fish Oil. I am going to restock on the HF though this wk.

But I honestly think the HF has a lot to do with my growth at an accelerated rate.

Oh, forgot to mention I also take the Rexall 1000 mg biotin but I can't remember if I purchased these at DG or Family Dollar

Well, my contribution isn't a vitamin, but it is a supplement.

I take 2000mg of L-Cysteine and it has done amazing things with my hair. I've used it for, hmmm, about 6 years now.

If you try it, you won't be disappointed.

I second the L-cysteine. The l-cysteine is in the country life maxi hair vitamins. So I decided to overdose or up the dosage and I added about 300mg supplement.

I am telling you with the amount of vitamins I take my hair should be touching the floor.:drunk:
