Today I got my Lucky magazine for March and there was an "ask the editor" question on hair vitamins so here it is:

Do hair vitamins actually work?
According to supernutritionist Oz Garcia, the answer is both es and no. "they work in context, so if ou want them to be effective, take hairgrowing vitamins in tandem with a healthy diet and lifestyle. Just popping pills won't do it" The nutrients you shold look for are biotin, vitamin B5, silica, and most important, MSM (dietary sulfur), which also helps strengthen nails. Garcia recommends Body Essential silica gel supplements and tTrimedica MSM. Essential Fatty acids add luster to hair and skin," he says, "so taking a cod-liver oil capsule is a good idea."

I hope this helps some of you. you guys have certainly helped me a whole lot!

Thanks for posting this! I just got my March Lucky mag and will have a look at the article. I LOVE that magazine.

I do take biotin, trimedica MSM, B5 and an EFA (flax oil).
