Hair under lacefront wig?

Okay I just bought a lace front wig for the first time (It's being shipped as we speak) and I was wondering how do you wear your hair under it?
Braids or straightened?

The reason I'm asking is because I think with braids when I put my flesh tone hair-cap on it make look weird and bumpy and unrealistic so I need suggestions how I should wear my hair if I want to part it and whatnot.

I wear my braids beehive style, I Don't wear a standard wig cap anymore It looked rediculous (IMO)when I did, now I just leave it or I am wearing my mesh cap.

I've done the others and found for me this gives the more natural appearance, no bumps because my braids are made very fine and thin
