I was looking at some of my hairs that have shed themselved and I noticed that on quite a few of the strands, my ends are thick and strong but the new growth in thin and weak. It seems like it should be the other way around so I dont know what's up. Any ideas??? I'm so lost and confused

Could it be a change in diet or supplements? Maybe it's something you're doing differently?
Chanteuse, it isnt from chemicals, this is my new growth that's thinner..betty, it could be change in diet..I noticed that different sections of my hair down the whole length of the shaft are different strengths, conditions, etc, so it could be from my on again off again relationship with vitamins and water.
