Ok you all. My hair dryer broke and I really wanted to cry. I have the kind that sits on a stand so that I can sit in a chair under it just like I'm at the salon. I tried to bootleg it and tape it back together

, but it just wouldn't work.

(I had to try it...I just didn't want to pay $120 for another one.

) My dilemma now is how to style my hair without my dryer until I break down and get another one. I want something to do to it besides braidouts, twistouts, buns and phonytails. Any other suggestions so that I won't have to use a dryer?

It says in your signature that your natural hair is wavy. Have you tried using something such as Frizz-Ease, letting your hair air dry and wearing it natural?...That's an option. You can also wash it and wrap it and let it air dry..Corn rows, 2-strand twists and flat twists are always an option as are bantu knots and head wraps...or a combo of those...

I tried the bantu knot thing one time and just couldn't get it right. If I wrap my hair and let it air dry won't it be frizzy when I comb it down?? I know it'll take forever to dry. My natural hair is wavy, but it won't look right if I wear natural since the rest of my hair is permed.

If you use a product such as Frizz-Ease and then wrap it with setting lotion, it may not be. I honestly don't know because I haven't wrapped my hair in almost 3 years. You also have the option of roller setting it and letting it air dry or straw setting it and letting it air dry. If you're in a sunny location, it should take long to dry provided the sun is out and you remain in it long enough.

Bantu knots are tricky but the key to it is practice, practice, practice. Same thing goes for flat twists, cornrows, etc.

Another thought: have you thought of purchasing one of those soft bonnet hair dryers until you get the one that you really want? They usually run about $35 at Sally's.
