There was a thread on this about a month ago. The ladies mentioned several products including this one... I'll look for it...

I did some searching on this and the company said that the results would be very temporary on Af-Am curly hair. Would last about a month. HTH

There are 3 types of Hair Repair Systems that people get confused

1. Brazilian Keratin Straightening System - this product straightens the hair for about 3 months at a time....it doesn't work well on AA hair that is too tightly coiled (they suggest getting a mild relaxer before getting the Straightening Treatment). This products also coats the hair strand with Keratin to prevent breakage and damage. However it only lasts for about 3 months....(1 month for virgin hair) and after the coating wears off you hair will be in the same condition it was in before you go the treatment.

2. Brazilian Keratin Treatment - this product "repairs" damaged hair by coating the hair strand with keratin and this coating wears off with in 3 months. It is suggested that it be used for damaged hair.

3. Tanagra - Nanokeratinization system- this is the website the OP is talking about.....Tanagra uses nano molecular technology to enable the keratin to penetrate the hair strand and repair the damage....the keratin is then sealed in. This treatment will last as long as normal hair keratin and will breakdown through normal wear and tear like your regular hair e.g. it is suggested that those who inflict constant damage to their hair i.e. relaxers permenant coloring, TR, etc, to do the treatment after the process....however with relaxing it is not necessary to do the whole hair strand if the relaxer only touched the new growth.

the first product straightens and "repairs" the hair on the outside by coating it.

The second product just "repairs" the hair on the outside by coating it.

The third product actually repairs the hair from the inside of the hair shaft.

I have not tried any of these but I am interested in the Tanagra

I'm not sure if this has been asked already, but does anyone know of a salon that has the brazilian treatment or the tangara on the East Coast?

I'll be home for visit this summer & would love to have this done while I'm there.

Looking for salons in NJ, DC/Va area, NC/SC, TN, DE, even NYC.

TIA
